BI is set to receive more international students than ever this autumn. For bachelor programmes numbers are up by 11 per cent, while the number of new master students from overseas has doubled.
- BI Norwegian School of Management aims to combine academic strength and relevance in a manner that puts us among the very best business schools in Europe. The increasing number of international students proves we are on the right track, says BI President Tom Colbj?rnsen.
Attractive programmes
At master level, programmes such as Political Economy, Business and Economics, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship are particularly popular with international graduates.
More double degree students
In the autumn of 2008, BI Norwegian School of Management offered a Double Degree in Finance and Economics for the first time. A Double Degree means that the students study with BI for 50% of their time and at one of the school’s international collaborating institutions for the remainder of their time. Upon completion of the study programme, the candidate will receive two diplomas for one master’s degree.
BI has experienced increasing interest also for these programmes, from five international foreign degree students to 20 this year.
”The advantages of our double degree cooperation agreements are that we will see an increase in the number of highly qualified international students at BI, while our cooperation agreements with international universities/colleges will make BI’s master programmes more attractive in Norway,” concludes Colbj?rnsen.
