On Dec. 4th, CEO Bjarni Armannsson of the Icelandic bank Glitnir came to the School of Management, Fudan University, to give a presentation of Glitnir. The guests of honour were the bachelor students from BI Norwegian School of Management, who are here at Fudan to finish the last year of their Bachelor in International Marketing. The press, represented by two Chinese television networks, Shanghai Educational TV and Shanghai Financial News, were also present.
In connection with Glitnir’s grand opening in Shanghai the following day, Mr. Armannsson presented BI’s bachelor class with a very generous gift; a check of RMB 100.000. The money is to be spent on a trip to Xi’an where the class will visit a new geothermal heating system, the product of a Joint Venture between Shaanxi Geothermal Energy Development Co. Ltd. (CGCO) and Enex China. Glitnir is one of the three main shareholders in Enex China. Needless to say, the bachelor class was very grateful for the gift and the opportunity to go on an academically and culturally rewarding trip.
