THE BI Norwegian School of Management is Norway's leading academic institution in the core areas of economics, management, strategy, marketing, innovation and entrepreneurship. This enables BI to produce research-based knowledge and dynamic graduates capable of applying best practice methods in both the private and the public sectors. Since its foundation in 1943, BI has consistently been uniting theory and practice.
BI's goals are to become one of Europe's foremost research-based schools of economics and business administration.
In 2005, BI was successfully reaccredited for a further five years by EQUIS, the independent international mark of quality of the European Foundation for Management Development. The committee of experts assessing BI's application declared: "BI is an overall high quality institution, with very solid academic foundations and clearly above the standards of quality common in many EQUIS accredited schools."
In 1996, School of Management, Fudan University started its cooperation with BI Norwegian School of Management to train professional managers in China.
The aim of the joint program is to prepare managers to take on challenges and manage change by teaching approaches and tools that will give them the capability to control and develop their business in turbulent environments. Technological developments and transition to market economy mechanisms place ever greater demand on our leaders. To master the challenges that new opportunities and new developments create, modern managers must have the best mix of theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of how people and organizations work.
BI-Fudan MBA program aims at "Join and Share." Fudan joins with BI in developing quality management education programs. The students join with professors in learning to manage change in turbulent business environments. They join with their classmates from different backgrounds to share experiences.
