Professor Tom Colbjørnsen has been appointed new President of BI Norwegian School of Management. He assumed his position on August 1, 2006. Acting President Inge Jan Henjesand has been appointed Provost.
Colbjørnsen, 55 years old and a Norwegian national, is currently employed at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen as Dean for executive education.
BI’s new president is particularly interested in the question of how companies should be organised and managed in markets characterised by increasing competition and change.
Colbjørnsen has a long experience as a researcher, speaker and consultant. He participated in and chaired a number of government committees and has worked with a large number of international companies like SAS, Telenor, Norsk Hydro and Statoil. |
