-------Party with MBA Students from YaleSchool of Management

In mid-March, Fudan School of Management sponsored a party by the name of "Yale Night". A total of about 40 students from Yale School of Management, Fudan MIT Sloan 2003 MBA program, Fudan Hong Kong MBA program as well as BI-Fudan 2003 MBA program participated in the party.

Among those present at the event were about 15 students coming from the 2005 (year of graduation) class of Yale School of Management. The officers from the foreign relations office of the School of Management at Fudan presided over the event. They briefly introduced to all the honored guests about the history of Fudan University, Fudan's renowned achievements in the 2nd half of the 20th century, and its development over the last few decades, and especially thanked all MBA students from Yale for their visit, who, during their stay in Shanghai, had decided to select Fudan as their sole stop-over at one of the top business schools in China.

All participants talked to one another and exchanged views. Most Yale students were quite pleasantly surprised at the development of China in recent years and felt that there would be huge opportunities in such a piece of "opportunity land" in future. Some of them mentioned that they were thinking about seeking their career development in China after graduation. During their stop-over in Shanghai, they visited several other places including Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The party has been quite a good one, and all people had quite a wonderful time. Generally speaking, the party provided the students with a very good opportunity to get to know people from outside their respective classes. Some participants felt that If, say in the future, Fudan could arrange such an informal "party" in a slightly different way, for instance, as a relatively "formal" event where the participants could all sit down and discuss to share experiences so that those present could have more time for a little bit formal talk than informal one, then the result would be better. The students actually looked forward to more of such events in the future.
