主 题: What's Wrong with Management Research and How We Can Fix It

摘要：Despite its progress, management research faces persistent shortcomings, including insular theorizing, methodological rigidity, and limited practical relevance. These issues weaken its impact on both scholarship, practice and societal contributions. This talk explains these challenges and outlines a way forward by advocating for pragmatic theorization, problem-driven inquiry, and stronger engagement with real-world complexities. By fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and bridging the gap between theory and practice, management research can become more insightful, navigational, cooperative, and engaged, ultimately advancing its relevance and influence.
简介：陆亚东教授现任美国迈阿密大学赫伯特商学院Emery M.Findley杰出讲席教授、复旦大学管理学院国际顾问委员会委员，美国管理学会(Academy of Management)和国际商务学会(Academy of International Business) Fellow。陆教授撰写有20多本著作和200多篇研究论文，其中60多篇发表在UTD杂志列表的期刊上。他的研究领域广泛，涵盖全球战略、合作联盟、地缘政治、数字全球化和新兴市场战略等。陆亚东教授在国际管理和国际商务领域的杰出贡献得到了广泛的认可，获得了众多荣誉，包括JIBS50周年金奖、AOM教育家奖和Hyundai杰出学者奖、迈阿密大学终身成就奖，以及AXIOM商业图书金奖。据Google Scholar统计，陆教授引文指数(H指数)为116，文章被引用超过6万次。
