主   题： Corporate Governance Research: Past, Present, and Future

摘   要：

Recent changes in business landscapes present both challenges and opportunities for corporate governance research. In this talk I will first present an overview of the origins of corporate governance, the primary governance mechanisms, and the evolution of corporate governance research over the past five decades. I will then discuss issues related to the publication of corporate governance research in top-tier management journals, and conclude with a few questions and suggestions for future research directions.           

嘉宾简介：

Wei Shen is a Dean’s Council Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. His research focuses on CEOs, boards of directors, and their impacts on organizations. He has published extensively on these topics in leading management journals, including the Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, and Strategic Management Journal. He has won several awards and recognitions, such as the inaugural Robert J. Litschert Best Doctoral Student Paper Award from the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy of Management and the Mays Outstanding Ph.D. Alumni Award from Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. He is currently the President Elect of the International Association for Chinese Management Research.
