简介: Dr. Vikas Mehrotra is the A.F. (Chip) Collins Professor of Finance at the University of Alberta School of Business. Since 2007, he has been the department chair of Finance and Statistical Analysis within the School of Business.
Dr. Mehrotra’s work deals with corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure, and international financial markets, and has been published in leading finance journals such as The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies and The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. His work has been cited in the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, The Economist, National Public Radio (NYC), and the National Post.
Dr. Mehrotra was a principal investigator in two studies commissioned by the Wise Persons Committee on Canadian Securities Regulation reform, has consulted for both provincial organizations and private firms in Alberta, and has served as an adviser to the Alberta Energy Board. His recent research deals with family ownership and entrepreneurship.
