Professor Yu is an Associate Professor of Finance (with tenure) at the Kelly School of Business, Indiana University. Previously, she held positions as Assistant Professor of Finance at the Indiana University (2001‐2008), Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Minnesota (2005‐2006), and Visiting Scholar at the Swedish Institute for Financial Research (2005). Professor Yu has taught a variety of financial courses, including Corporate Finance at both the doctoral and the undergraduate levels, and Corporate Finance Analysis and Decisions at the MBA level.

Professor Yu’s research has appeared in Journal of Finance，Journal of Business, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance, and other leading academic journals. In addition, she co-authored a book chapter of Social Security Reform in China, published by Economic Science Press in 1999. She has won numerous awards and research grants, including TCW Best Paper Award at the 2008 China International Conference, Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award, Kelley School of Business Dean’s Letter for Teaching Excellence, Robert White Research Award, Indiana University Overseas Research Grant, CIBER Faculty Research Grant, National Fund for Science Applications, and Indiana University Faculty Travel Grant. Professor Yu is a member of the American Finance Association, the Western Finance Association and the Financial Management Association.
