题目：Financial Distress, Corporate Investment, and the Chill Effect

主讲人：Lan Xu PhD candidate at Washington University

主讲人简介：Lan Xu is a PhD candidate at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research area is corporate finance, with a focus on corporate investment, diversification and capital structure. Her papers have been　accepted into the annual conferences of Eastern Finance Association and　Midwest Finance Association. She has been a teaching fellow in various sub-areas of finance including financial management, fixed income securities,　stochastic foundations for finance and different levels of MBA courses.　

She will present a paper　"Financial Distress, Corporate Investment, and the Chill Effect" this Tuesday. This paper uses micro variation in financial resources to understand macro investment trends better. By examining how firms adjust their investment in response to both　macroeconomic shocks and the industry relative distribution of wealth, she shows the importance of the　effect of this adjustment within the industry along the post-recession recovery path.
