主讲人简介：Dr. Li is Professor of Finance and holds the W. Maurice Young Endowed Chair in Finance at the Sauder School of Business, and has held various visiting positions at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Tuck School of Business, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Bocconi University, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Exeter University, and Jiaotong University. At the Sauder School of Business, she teaches capital structure, valuation, and security analysis at the MBA level.

Dr. Li’s research focuses on the economic consequences of corporate governance mechanisms. Her current research projects explore: (1) the presence and determination of shareholder cross-holdings, (2) the role of compensation mechanism and institutional investors in mergers and acquisitions, and (3) the role of gender and psychology in corporate decisions. Her research has appeared in Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Empirical Finance, and Canadian Investment Review. She is the recipient of the 2008 Research Excellence Award at the Sauder School of Business, and the 2002 Barclays Global Investors Canada Research Award, and her research is featured in New York Times, New Yorker, Bloomberg, BNN, National Post, Globe and Mail, and U.S. News & World Report.
