BI Norwegian Business School on the list of the 100 best Executive MBA programmes in the world with two programmes.

The BI-Fudan MBA programme is number 48 on 2015 Financial Times’ ranking of the 100 best Executive MBA programmes in the world, highest ranked amongst the Nordic countries. Among part-time MBA programs it globally ranks no. 6, and no. 4 for career progress. On the same prestigious list, the BI EMBA programme is ranked for the first time.

The ranking includes the most influential business schools in the world and shows that BI is recognized as a top international school. The BI-Fudan MBA is ranked on the Financial Times (FT) prestigious ranking of the best Executive MBA programmes for the third consecutive year,  climbing seven places in this year's ranking. The BI Executive Masters of Business Administration (BI EMBA) is ranked for the first time.

- That we succeed with ranking both our EMBA programmes is quite an achievement and the result of a concerted effort over several years, says Henjesand.

International Perspective

Both EMBA programmes from BI target experienced business leaders who need state of the art academic input. The programmes are module based, which makes it possible to combine study and job. In order to give participants more international exposure, modules are held in several countries in cooperation with other top business schools.

- In an increasingly knowledge-intensive, competitive and global world, life-long learning is the rule. In a world in constant change, managers need to be able to manage in an international context, says Henjesand.

BI’s partnership with Fudan University School of Management in Shanghai, China started in 1996 and is one of the oldest partnerships between a Western business school and a Chinese university. Over 2,000 Chinese managers currently have an MBA from BI.

- As this FT ranking clearly shows, top ranked schools are collaborating with other schools to develop the best international programmes. Our strategic partnership with Fudan University School of Management is important to further develop BI’s global expertise which is required in today's society, says Henjesand.

About the ranking:

BI-Fudan MBA is at 48 place (up 7 places from last year).

BI EMBA is at 98 place (for the first time on the list).

Ranking of part-time MBA programmes is partly based on students' career development and salary, and the School's academic profile. FT also considers the number of international and female students and faculty, in addition to the international reach of the programme. A research rank based on publications in a defined set of journals is also part of this ranking.

• BI was the first educational institution in the world that received approval to start an MBA programme in China.

• FT has 5 separate rankings and BI participates in 4 of these. The fifth is for schools with full-time MBA programmes which BI does not have.
