Three Fudan IMBA alumni, Class of 2019, Xie Xiaoyun, Kang Qiang and Yan Zhengcao, shared their stories of career transition after graduation this July. Previously civil servants or employees in state-owned enterprises, they decided to search for new possibilities through learning when they felt the absence of challenge and personal improvement.
The systematic courses, diversified practical projects and competitions allowed them to build a comprehensive knowledge framework and the management mindset, as well as to integrate what they’ve learned in the classroom into practice. Meanwhile, exchanges with classmates and alumni from different career backgrounds offered new ideas about other industries and even work opportunities. After graduation, Xie, Kang and Yan respectively became a business development agent of a foreign capitalized company, a research analysts in a financial institution, and an account manager in a securities firm.
They advise MBA students seeking career transition to set the goal as early as possible, to open their mind and avoid underestimating any industry, and to find the most suitable direction through all kinds of opportunities provided by Fudan MBA .
