Learn to ask right questions—the iLAB lecture by Dr. ZOU Deqiang on Nov. 18th,2014
As many MBA students choose consulting industry as their future career goal, most of them want to learn more about it. How to make the process of consulting more efficient? In the iLAB Lecture on Nov. 18th, Dr. ZOU Deqiang delivered an excellent lecture about consulting mindset and skills.

In this class, students learnt how right questions develop high quality solutions. Dr. Zou reminded that we couldn’t solve the problem and answer the questions before the problems turned to be clearly defined, it should be noticed that the truly serious mistakes are made not as a result of wrong answer, but because of asking the wrong questions. So, the first step of successful consulting is to learn to ask right questions.

Dr. ZOU Deqiang, lecturer of Marketing Management Department of Fudan University, got the master’s and doctoral degrees in Tsinghua University and a bachelor's degree of economics in Renmin University. Mr. Zou’s study involved consumer behavior and empirical model in the market, include but not limited customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth (WOM), consumer dealing with numerical information and the dealing deviation, consumer identity value judgment and decision-making, the concept of consumption and social norms and social dynamics of on-line purchase etc.. He is now teaching in the management school of Fudan University, delivering the courses including "marketing management" and "marketing research". He is also working as the lecturer and instructor of Walton-Fudan MBA Program and Global Consulting Practice Project. At the same time, as a reporter of R Language Conference in 2010, Zou Dejiang engaged in improving the popularity of R language in China’s marketing research.
