On Nov. 17th 2014, the long-expected iLab kick-off meeting was launched to the IMBA freshmen. Dean Yin and Mr. Sun Long addressed us a comprehensive introduction of it from different aspects, followed by three alumni sharing their experience of iLab project, respectively.
As one of the action learning projects, iLab has been developed since 2005, the ‘i’ of which embraces integration, intelligence, internationalization, initiative and innovation. Although it’s an academic course, participants are expected to act as a professional consultant and provide the high-quality tailored deliverables to the partner companies. The iLab is not a simple ‘student project’ since teams collaborate with senior management, supported by the Fudan professional network.
‘Bridge Your Knowledge to Wisdom!’ is the essence of the iLab project. Students succeeding in the iLab project will benefit a lot both in hard and soft skill development by such ways as applying concepts and methods from the curriculum and deepening functional knowledge, etc. The goal to implement the iLab project is to create an academic and social atmosphere which cultivates experiential and dynamic learning and to provide innovative, operational plans which add value to the client companies.
The iLab project is a significant component of the entire IMBA program. We will dedicate to actively execute and contribute to each phase of the project to ensure the success as it is a complicated job and requires strenuous efforts for everyone.
