Fudan MBA iLab Workshop VI --- Strategy Analysis by Lily Chen

In order to prepare students to succeed in strategy recommendations for ilab clients in the upcoming final reports, the last iLab workshop was held in Starr building 604, at 19:00, 19th. May, 2014. Lily Chen, the speaker invited, has more than 20 years’ experience in banking, insurance and telecom industry focusing on sales, customer service, operation and project management. Her role in various industries enables her to gain rich experience in sales and service sector, such as channel management strategy set up, call center transformation and sale and service operation model design. She was the chief strategy officer and chief operating officer in one of the biggest global insurance companies in China.
In this Strategy analysis sharing, Ms. Chen listed all the key issues that could be solved through breaking them down into sub-issues. The key sub-questions to address include “What is the market context that client operate in?” “What is the internal context that client need to consider”  “What positioning scenario exists and what consequences does each scenario imply?” and so on. She also gave us ways of response to help the client to profitably reach its vision.
The workshop allowed students to understand how to gain both financial and non-financial value through the strategic road map and gave them confidence in their final evaluation sessions for ilab projects.
