Fudan MBA iLab Workshop III----- Project Management: “Key elements to a successful project” delivered by Dr. Sikander Khan (Visiting Professor fromSchool of Business, Society and Engineering, in Malardalen University, Sweden.) and guest speaker Mr. Alexander (CEO&Co-founder of a company) was held successfully On March 26, 2014, at room 604, Starr Building.
In the lecture, Dr. Sikander Khan described a big picture of project management, and picked out key elements in the whole process, namely how to make a project proposal, how to divide the works, how to communicate with stakeholders, and how to be the leader of a project team. Meanwhile he shared some very useful tips he has gotten from the experiences when presiding over projects in different regions all over the world.
Mr. Alexander, the CEO of a company, also has very rich experience in project management. In the limited speech, he presented some different projects run by him all these years and emphasized, as the manager, on how to keep a project “fast/good/cheap”. Like Dr. Sikander Khan, he also stressed the important role of “communication” in a successful project management even though it was the very part you should pay attention to.
At last the two speakers answered questions posed by MBA students. They encouraged them to explore project management and contact with them if needed.
