On Jan16th, the grand signing ceremony was held in school of management, Fudan. This spectacular occasion was witnessed and congratulated by honorable officials and distinguished guests from Tekes, Shanghai-based Finland consulate, iLab project partners, Nordic Center of Fudan, and project mentors and MBA students. Professor Yin Zhiwen, Associate Dean of School of Management acted as the MC and delivered an opening speech to the ceremony.

Professor Chen Yinzhang, Special Advisor to President on International Affairs and Executive Diector of the Nordic Centre Fudan University, extended, on behalf of Fudan, our warmest welcome to all the distinguished guests present there. He also expressed sincere congratulations on the successful holding of this big event. iLab, according to him, is brand-new yet mutual-beneficial cooperation between Fudan and Finland. This is an innovative practice-based course and he was convinced that this program would surely achieve remarkable progress with concerted efforts of both parties. Afterwards, Director General of Tekes, Pekka Soini and Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai delivered speeches as well. Both of them agreed that the two parties would reach win-win results through the iLab cooperation. Mr. Pekka Soini even believed that this cooperation is beneficial to four parties, namely, Tekes, enterprise partners, Fudan MBA program and students.
Dean Lu Xiongwen made a speech later on. He made a brief introduction on the accomplishments Fudan School of Management had achieved. In 2009 and 2010, School of management passed ACCSB and EQUIS international certification respectively. In 2012, our school h became the only one that had three programs listed in the EMBA TOP100 in Financial Times. He asserted that the cooperation is in the best interests of our long-term development and placed high hopes on the future cooperation of both parties. Finally, in the presence of the all the representatives, Dean Lu signed MOU with Mr. PEkka Soini and exchanged souvenirs.

After the ceremony, the kick-off meeting of the five projects was held in five discussion rooms. Entrepreneurs from the five enterprises conducted heated discussions with MBA consultants, joined by the mentors. MBA students will use what they have learned and spared no efforts to work out strategies and explore new partners and markets for them.
Same Faith laid a solid foundation on mutual cooperation
Fudan iLab aims to cultivate young talents and future leaders for business and industry by putting what students have learnt into practice, basing on the philosophy of learning by doing and through providing resource and instruction, and creating a harmonious academic and entrepreneurship atmosphere. Fudan iLab teams intend to resolve the problems faced by the enterprise partners, such as their international initiative, overseas and domestic financing strategy, marketing strategy, organizational planning, commercial proposals and competition evaluation, etc. The meaning of the iLab is dual, providing an opportunity for students to put to practice what they have learned and offering value-added, innovative and feasible proposals for partners.
Tekes, a government funded organization that boosts technological innovation, is affiliated to the Labor and Economics Ministry of Finland. Tekes provides funding support for science, and enterprises and researching organizations that are seeking to make innovation. The major responsibility of Tekes China is to help Finnish companies to seek more business opportunities in China and provide opportunities for Chinese enterprises to do business in Finland. Tekes has helped the fulfillment of many programs between Fudan and Finland and kept in close touch with Nordic Center of Fudan, thereby laying a sound foundation for successful cooperation between the two parties.
