The exchange program of Management School of Fudan University is one of the main attractions to the MBA students. In order to acknowledge the exchange life in the foreign schools of various countries, the MBA Program Office has held a vitalized Welcome Back Party on the 9th floor of Starr building on Jan 17th. And the 18 students from different MBA Program shared their exchange experience to the junior students.
Chen Ziqi, who spent a whole semester in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is the host of the meeting. The schools available for exchange study were divided into five parts according to the regions of UK, EU, US, CA and Asia. They are all the top universities that enjoy a high reputation in the world and are the ideal schools for the junior MBA students. The 18 experienced senior students expressed their preferences and satisfactions for the exchanged schools, including LSE in London, HEC in France, Essade and IE in Spain, UCLA and Emory in USA, etc.
Their topics covered almost life, study, travel and security. It seems that the schools deserve its reputations and study could be very hard in USA, the traveling time is relatively shorter. In mainland of Europe, the countries will show you more about the art and culture. The foreign lands are one of the major reasons for the local students. We saw many pictures of the scenic landscapes in Canada and Northern Europe. And in Hong Kong, Ziqi showed his tips of shopping and rental.
The senior students had brought their interesting experiences of exchange life and their advices of both decision making of exchange and tips of applications. Zhu Shuwen had explained how she made these procedures with self-evaluation, analysis of her demand and the features of the schools.
Our suggestions are that first you should carefully analyze yourself whether it’s valuable for you to have the exchange regarding of the opportunity costs. Second, if you have made the decision to exchange, you shall do a lot of homework to choose the right university that suits yourself. The objectives can be separated into three kinds: to relax and have a happy travel in the foreign countries, to study the interesting courses assigned by the professional schools, to have an experience in the top schools for your future career. Everyone should depend on the demands of your own.
The online application of exchanged schools has been opened to us. It has become the primary topic in the warm discussion.
