Fudan MBA MIT Lecture for Intercultural Communication by Prof. Neal Hartman was successfully held on Oct. 15th, 2013
Fudan 2013 IMBA students had the pleasure to hear from Professor Mr. Neal Hartman again at Starr Building on Oct 15th.
The first lecture students had from Professor Hartman was about “How to prepare for and participate in case discussion classes” which gave everyone the opportunity to think about how we should behave and what might come to us before we actually being part of the program.
The lecture was mainly about intellectual communication, focusing on the difference of culture all over the world. Professor Hartman pointed out that we should better make ourselves fully aware about the variety of culture when doing business with people coming from other countries by a small quiz. It’s also important that we should prepare ourselves to be part of the possible situation we might face.
Professor Hartman also gave students a case to enhance the sensitivity of cultural difference .By analyzing the failure of management in a different company culture, students learned how to be positive to adapt the dilemma might come and to find an efficient way to communicate.
It’s a great honor to have this lecture from Professor Hartman again, and all students are looking forward to have more experience and information from MIT courses.
