题 目：A Tale of Two Monopolies: From Mirrlees to Myerson and back

摘 要：
We characterize optimal selling mechanisms of a two-product monopoly for type distributions satisfying a mild regularity condition. Our approach builds on identifying the demand and price elasticity for each product bundle and reveals crucial features of the revenue-maximizing mechanisms such as whether and how to randomize/bundle. The analysis exemplifies how revenue maximization in mechanism design benefits from insights on the monopoly pricing of bundles and vice versa.
主讲人简介:
Zhengqing Gui is a Senior Research Fellow at the Risk Management Institute, National University of Singapore. He received PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2019 and then worked at Wuhan University as an Assistant Professor of Economics until 2022. His research focuses on game theory and mechanism design, with their applications to finance, industrial organization, and behavioral economics.
