Associate Professor
Ernest Scheller Jr. College of Business，Georgia Institute of Technology
Bio：Dr. Dong Liu ’s research interests include creativity, event system theory, turnover, and international entrepreneurship with a particular focus on exploring the multilevel interface between individuals, teams, and organizations across cultures. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management and elsewhere. He obtained his Ph.D. from University of Washington in 2011. He has received several recognitions for his research and teaching such as Runner-up for the Academy of Management Review Best Paper Award (2016)
Abstract：Drawing on his recent publications at Academy of Management Review and Academy of Management Journal, Dr. Dong Liu will provide humble and candid advice about how to pursue an effective research program. More specifically, he will address several key research issues related to identifying interesting research ideas, proposing new and promising theories, and developing a sustainable and impactful research pipeline etc. He will also share insights into the journal review process and offer suggestions on how to effectively work with reviewers.
